    Mass. man facing child human trafficking charge after missing Stanly County minor found

    NORWOOD, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — A Massachusetts man is behind bars after a missing juvenile was found, according to the Norwood Police Department.

    Michael James Oliver, 39, was arrested late June in Berlin, Massachusetts, and charged with the following:

    • Human Trafficking of a child victim
    • Abduction of a child
    • Soliciting a child with an electronic device

    Authorities confirmed that Oliver’s charges are connected with the disappearance of a minor from the Norwood area.

    Oliver is being held on a $1 million bond and is expected in court on August 20.

    Police voiced their gratitude to community members who came forward with valuable information as well as the numerous agencies involved.
