    Wadesboro enacts and outlines curfew rules for juveniles

    WADESBORO, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — Kids in Wadesboro are now under an official curfew each day of the week.

    Children 12 and under will not be allowed to be unattended in public places between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. while the rule applies between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. for kids ages 13 to 17.

    There are exceptions including juveniles getting a 30-minute extension for running errands for parents. Exceptions will also be made for juveniles accompanied by a parent or guardian at least 21 years old responding to an emergency or traveling to and from work.

    Authorities said curfew violations could be subject to a $500 fine.
