(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Ahh we’ve got a nice taste of fall coming in the morning! We felt the drier air and slightly cooler temperatures on Tuesday, and we’ll get even more of it the rest of this week.

If you live in the mountains, you’ll be waking up to cool 40s in the morning! The theme will be mid-50s to low 60s from the Foothills through the Piedmont. Afternoon highs will only end up around 80 degrees. The weather stays mostly dry, but a disturbance to our south may help kick off a couple of isolated showers in the afternoon and evening around Charlotte and into South Carolina.

It’s still summer, and the heat doesn’t stay away for too long. Late in the weekend into next week, highs start to creep up towards 90 again, and the 90s will likely be back next Monday and Tuesday. Humidity returns, too. Enjoy this break while it lasts!

Tonight : Mainly clear and cooler. Low 61.

Wednesday : Sun & clouds, low rain chance. High 81.
