Police seek to ID armed robbery suspects shown at Gastonia convenience store

GASTONIA, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Police are seeking the public’s helping identifying suspects from a “brazen” armed robbery at a Gastonia convenience store.

According to the Gastonia Police Department, the incident occurred just after midnight Aug. 19 at the Times Turn Around on South New Hope Road. Surveillance footage shows three masked and armed people entering the business.

The suspects masks covering all but their eyes, two have hooded sweatshirts, and one has bright blue shoes.

Officers say they arrived in a black Nissan Altima with dark-tinted windows and blacked-out wheels. A fourth person was reportedly waiting in the car while the others went inside the Turn Around.

Police believe the suspects also robbed a Circle K in on Wilkinson Blvd in Belmont 20 minutes after they hit the Turn Around. If you know them, call Gastonia PD detectives at 704-866-6069.

“This was pretty brazen, and that concerns us. The clerks saw them coming and ran out the back to safety,” a Gastonia PD spokesperson said.

Police are not releasing the details of what the suspects allegedly stole from the businesses.
