    Deadly hit-and-run in northeast Charlotte

    CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – An investigation is underway following a deadly hit-and-run in northeast Charlotte.

    Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said road closures were ongoing at around midnight Saturday near 1100 W Sugar Creek Road in northeast Charlotte where one victim was pronounced dead. The incident occurred around 10:14 a.m. on Tuesday. Charlotte Medic said they responded to a pedestrian incident at around the same time in the same area.

    An initial investigation stated that a suspect committed a hit-and-run, failing to stop, report the crash, remain on scene, or render aid.

    There is no mention of a suspect or an arrest at this time.
