    Iredell County industrial plant to close, 217 jobs being eliminated

    TROUTMAN, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — More than 200 employees will lose jobs they held with a company out of Iredell County, according to a new North Carolina WARN notice.

    Pennsylvania-based Keystone Powdered Metal Company will close its factory and with that, eliminate 217 positions from its Troutman plant on Old Murdock Road.

    Novant Health to lay off more than 170 employees across NC and SC

    The company manufactures auto parts like gear and clutch components. All layoffs are effective by April 1, 2025.

    The WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) Act intends to protect workers facing layoffs or plant closures.
