CHARLOTTE ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — A large internet outage with Spectrum is impacting Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools on Friday, school officials announced.

According to CMS, district-wide outages have been reported, as well as other areas of Mecklenburg County.

“This may impact some of our phone lines, causing some delays. Spectrum is currently working to resolve the issue. Thank you for your patience and support,” CMS announced Friday.

Below is a message sent to families with Reid Park Elementary on Friday:

    Good afternoon,

The district is currently experiencing an internet outage. Our computer and phones are currently down. If you are trying to get in contact with the school and can’t get through this is the reason why. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience and understanding as the district works to get this resolved.
