CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – Bryce Young is going to have some alternates helping him out at the tight end position in the season opener against New Orleans in the Big Easy this weekend.

Optimistic Saints and rebuilding Panthers set to unveil new offenses in NFC South clash

Tommy Tremble and Ian Thomas have both been ruled out for the Panthers season-opening game against the Saints on Sunday (1 p.m., Fox Charlotte).

Tremble is battling a hamstring injury and Thomas is fighting calf problems.

Ja’Tavion Sanders, Jordan Matthews, and Messiah Swinson will be the available tight ends.

Friday’s injury report also lists Yosh Nijman as questionable (tibia) while running back Miles Sanders (finger) and Nickelback Troy Hill (heel) both fully participated in Friday’s practice.

The Panthers Dave Canales makes his season debut and quarterback Bryce Young begins his second season with Carolina.
