    I-85 wreck in north Charlotte leaves driver, 5 juveniles with minor injuries: Troopers

    Note: An earlier report from officials said that one person had serious injuries; however, it was later confirmed all injuries were minor.

    CHARLOTTE ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — An adult and five juveniles were hurt Saturday afternoon in a crash on Interstate 85, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

    The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. on September 7 on I-85 northbound between West Sugar Creek Road and Graham Street.

    Troopers say an SUV rear-ended another SUV. Everyone in the car that was rear-ended was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

    It’s unclear how many vehicles were involved; however, MEDIC says that one person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Five others had minor injuries.

    This crash happened less than three hours after a crash on Sharon View Road that killed a juvenile and hurt five others, according to officials.
