One person killed in two-vehicle wreck in east Charlotte: CMPD

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One person is killed and another was hurt following a two-vehicle wreck in east Charlotte, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Around 5:15 a.m., police reported that the intersection of Hood Road and Plaza Road Extension was closed while they investigate the fatal crash.

Medic said one person was pronounced dead at the scene, and another was treated at the scene. It is unclear what led up to the crash or if any charges will be filed.
