    20-year-old shot, killed after argument at Mooresville apartment complex: Police

    MOORESVILLE, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — A 20-year-old man is dead after a shooting at an apartment late Sunday night, according to the Mooresville Police Department.

    Around 11:15 p.m. on Sept. 8, officers responded to the Meadowlark Glen Apartments about a shots fired call. When they arrived, they found 20-year-old Clifton Cornelius Vandiver, of Concord, with multiple gunshot wounds.

    He was taken to a local hospital where he died of his injuries, officials said.

    Police say it appears the shooting was a result of an altercation between Vandiver and other people. Detectives are still investigating the incident and interviewing witnesses.
