    Dilworth gift shop announces founder’s passing

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Dilworth neighborhood gift shop, Paper Skyscraper announced that its founder and former owner, Ron Wootten passed away this past weekend.

    In a heartfelt message on their Instagram page , Wootten was described as a ‘visionary’ and that his ‘work ethic, his humor and his playfulness’ shaped the heart and soul of the company.

    Comments underneath the post express the community’s love for the founder, whether they knew him personally or not, and the last impact he left on anyone he encountered.

    The company did not give details as to how or when Wootten passed away.

    Paper Skyscraper has been in the historic Dilworth neighborhood for over 30 years and has grown into a staple, fostering a friendly environment for Charlotte’s creative community.
