    Carowinds’ record-breaking coaster wins eighth ‘Best Steel Coaster’ award

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Carowinds’ Fury 325 has claimed the title of ‘Best Steel Coaster’ once again in Amusement Today’s annual Golden Ticket Awards, the company announced Saturday.

    This is the eighth consecutive year that the Fury 325 has won this award.

    The 26th annual Golden Ticket Awards, which celebrate excellence in the amusement park industry, was held in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania.

    During the dinner and ceremony, it was announced that Carowinds will host the 2025 Golden Ticket Awards on September 5 and 6.

    “Fury 325 offers an experience unmatched by other steel coasters, combining height, speed and intensity while delivering a seamless and smooth flow that keeps riders engaged from start to finish,” Manny Gonzalez, vice president and general manager of Carowinds, said. “Every element, from the first drop to the final turn, is meticulously designed to maximize exhilaration, making it an unforgettable experience for riders long after they’ve left the park.”

    Fury 325 has been recognized as North America’s tallest, fastest and longest giga coaster.
