(PINPOINT WEATHER) — We got a little warmer Tuesday with high temps reaching the mid-80s. Another nice day though, as humidity stayed low with those refreshing temps in the morning. We’ll do it again Wednesday, with just a few more clouds around.

Tropical moisture will gradually increase here in the Carolinas late week and through the weekend. After Francine makes landfall– likely along the Louisiana coast late Wednesday– it will weaken as it moves north over the Mississippi River Valley Thursday through Saturday. Along the way, we’ll get some scattered showers and storms starting late Thursday. Expect off-and-on showers and storms through Sunday, with most of the rain falling west of the I-77 corridor. The mountains and foothills will likely get the most rain, with 1-3 inches possible.

Fortunately, the wind won’t be much of an issue, with gusts around 20-25 mph expected starting Thursday.

Tonight : Mostly clear. Low 59.

Wednesday : Partly cloudy. High 82.
