FBI, SBI, Cleveland Co. Sheriff searching ‘multiple locations’ in Cleveland County

CLEVELAND COUNTY, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — Several search warrants were carried out Tuesday in and around Cleveland County, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) confirmed.

The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) joined the FBI in searching.

“The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office, the FBI, and the SBI executed court-authorized search warrants at multiple locations in and around Cleveland County today,” the FBI said on September 10. “We are not releasing additional information at this time.”

Authorities did not say what they were searching for or what case this was in connection with. It is unclear where exactly the searches were located; however, a law enforcement presence was seen in the Shelby area.
