CMPD said intermittent road closures at varying times will occur across multiple highways and local roadways starting at 2 p.m. Thursday including:

    • Interstate 77 and E. Independence Blvd. between I-277 and Eastway Drive
    • Around Charlotte Douglas International Airport

CMPD said traffic delays are anticipated around the CLT airport from 2:30 p.m. through 7 p.m. on Thursday. They’re asking drivers to “please seek alternate routes if you must travel during these times on Thursday.”
