CMPD investigating death by train tracks in south Charlotte

CHARLOTTE ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) – CMPD is investigating a death by the Norfolk Southern train tracks in south Charlotte on Thursday.

The incident occurred before 6 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, near Arrowood Road and South Blvd., however, the circumstances surrounding the fatality have not yet been released.

It is unclear at this time if the death involved a pedestrian on the train tracks and Queen City News was at the scene working to learn more details.

CMPD said to expect closures and to seek an alternate route during the morning commute.
