    Driver killed in pickup, box truck wreck in Kings Mountain: Police

    KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) – An investigation is underway following a deadly Kings Mountain wreck involving a pickup and a box truck, Kings Mountain Police said.

    Officers responded to calls regarding the collision at 8:11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, by South Battleground Ave. and Raven Circle.

    A victim who was later determined to be one of the drivers involved was transported to an area medical center where they were later pronounced dead.

    An initial investigation stated that the driver, identified as 73-year-old Kigs Mountain resident Edmond Bukoski was in a pickup truck and was involved in a collision with a large box truck.

    There is no mention of any charges at this time and this remains an active investigation.
