Two people killed in crash on I-485 in northeast Charlotte: Medic

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Two people are dead after an accident on I-485 in northeast Charlotte, according to Medic.

Around 11:25 a.m. on Saturday, a wreck was reported on I-485 inner near mile marker 36, Rocky River Road. Medic said two people died at the scene.

NCDOT says the left two lanes were closed just past the exit. The roadway finally cleared around 1:05 p.m., about two hours after the crash was reported.

It is unclear what led up to the crash or if anyone else was injured.
