    Victim identified in Davie County homicide by sheriff’s office

    ADVANCE, N.C. (WGHP) — A homicide victim has been identified by law enforcement in the Piedmont Triad.

    The Davie County Sheriff’s Office named the man found dead in Advance on Wednesday , posting on their Facebook on Thursday that Warren Douglas Maxwell, 62, of Advance was found dead from blunt force trauma.

    According to the sheriff’s office, on Wednesday at 8:15 a.m., Davie County Communications got a phone call from Underpass Road in Advance about a medical issue.

    Deputies arrived and found Maxwell dead inside of a vehicle on the property.

    Deputies also found the suspect, Isidro Rivera Aguero Jr., 29, of Advance at the scene. He has been charged with murder. Aguero was given a $2 million bond.
