CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A 15-year-old faces charges after officials say a threat was made against West Caldwell High School last week.

Sheriff Kevin Bean announced that on September 13, a school resource officer at West Caldwell High School received information about a social media threat against the school.

The officer and detectives with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office investigated and traced the threat back to a 15-year-old student of West Caldwell.

The student is facing charges of making a false report concerning mass violence on educational property.

This comes amidst numerous threats made to schools throughout Caldwell and surrounding counties.

I see the toothless are out in full force, but in all seriousness, there didn't used to be a "resource officer". Think about that.
