More showers to come through midweek before drier, warmer weekend

(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Most of us are dry this evening under overcast skies. Most showers and thunderstorms are aligning along I-40 and north this evening.

An isolated storm or two can’t be ruled out around the Charlotte area, but most should remain dry.

The clouds tonight will limit us from viewing the Supermoon Partial Lunar Eclipse tonight. Although a few breaks in the clouds may provide some of us with a brief view. The eclipse will begin at 10:13 p.m. and end at 11:16 p.m. The peak of tonight’s partial lunar eclipse will be at 10:44 p.m.

A few areas of fog will develop overnight and into early Wednesday.

The bus stop and morning commute don’t look too bad for Wednesday morning. Other than a spotty shower and patchy fog, most will be dry. Just be careful, some roads may still be damp from Monday and Tuesday’s rain runoff. Also, some areas of lower visibility with the fog developing.

Temps will start in the 60s on Wednesday and climb more into the upper 70s as we see a few more peaks of sun on Wednesday afternoon.

That sun will increase the instability slightly for a few scattered showers and storms to develop.

Thursday will be very similar to Wednesday, with potentially a little less cloud cover. Expect a few more showers and storms to develop Thursday afternoon and evening, with temps expected to get closer to 80.

Looking drier into the weekend, but warming up. Temperatures get back into the 80s on Friday and Saturday.

The First Day of Fall is on Sunday. It looks very nice, with highs in the 70s under a mix of sun and clouds.
