SOUTH CAROLINA ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — In the last two weeks, over 60 threats have been made against South Carolina schools, according to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).

Half of the state’s counties, a total of 23, have seen school threats since September 4. Officials say many of these threats are being shared among students on social media or digital messaging apps.

Twenty-one juveniles have been charged in connection with the threats. SLED’s Behavioral Science Unit has been asked to help with 6 school threat investigations in different counties.

This comes after numerous threats have been made against schools in the greater Charlotte area.
