    UPDATE: Concord man found safe after Silver Alert issued

    CONCORD, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — A Concord man has been found safe after going missing after a doctor’s appointment, according to the Concord Police Department.

    William Howard Dawson, 78, was reportedly “confused and disoriented” as he left a doctor’s appointment near Copperfield Boulevard and Northeast Gateway Court NE on the morning of Tuesday, September 24. Just before 5 p.m., police say he was found.

    Mr. Dawson is described as a white man standing 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 220 pounds. He has short grey hair and hazel eyes.

    He was last seen wearing an orange shirt, back shorts and brown sandals. Mr. Dawson drives a silver 2018 Honda CRV with a NC license plate FDR-4567.

    Mr. Dawson was seen on traffic cameras in Rowan County driving north. It is unclear where he is headed.
