The threats were allegedly traced back to a 13-year-old in Texas. Cornelius PD detectives traveled to interview the teenager and reportedly gained “a lot of valuable information” on multiple cases of threat-making in their jurisdiction as well as elsewhere.

“Please know, the safety and security of our staff and students remain our priority, and we will keep working hard on these cases,” the police department wrote. “We appreciate our community’s support.”
