Forest City man killed in Gastonia crash: Police

GASTONIA, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Rutherford County man died in a two-vehicle crash in southern Gastonia Thursday afternoon.

According to the Gastonia Police Department, the collision occurred on Union Road between Niblick Drive and East Hudson Boulevard. Officers say the victim, a 58-year-old man from Forest City, crossed the center line and struck another vehicle. He died from his injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
