    Guilty Plea: Charlotte man robbed Waffle House with AR-15 rifle: DOJ

    CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – A Charlotte man accused of robbing a local Waffle House with an AR-15 has pleaded guilty to charges, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of North Carolina announced.

    Charlotte resident Jermond Lowery, 29, pled guilty on Thursday to brandishing a firearm during a restaurant robbery.

    Court records stated that in 2023 on Halloween Lowery entered a Charlotte Waffle House, took out an AR-15, and told employees to ‘get back.’He then ordered them to open the register before telling them, “I’ll kill you right now.”

    He was arrested on November 1st and faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.

    so why would and get the AR 15 rifle and go rob the waffle House that's in Charlotte right now today because he needs to be in prison for the rest of his life and I'm so glad that he gotten life in prison now

    They just had to throw that AR15 in there didn’t they. Article could have stated “Waffle House robbed in armed robbery. But NO, had to state the robber used that SCARY old AR!
