    Officials investigating intentionally set fire in NW Charlotte: CFD

    CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — Authorities are looking for information on a fire that was intentionally set in northwest Charlotte, according to the Charlotte Fire Department.

    Around 12:05 a.m. on Saturday, crews responded to the 1400 block of Thriftwood Drive and saw smoke when they arrived. It took roughly 15 minutes for firefighters to control the blaze. Officials say the home was empty and no one was injured during the fire.

    Investigators determined the fire was intentionally set causing $26,000 in damages. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 704-334-1600.
