FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (CHARLOTTE SPORTS LIVE) — Charlotte FC heads into the rematch against Inter Miami CF.

CLTFC came into Saturday’s match on a high after a landslide victory over New England Revolution, 4 to nothing.

The match took place in Fort Lauderdale at the Chase Stadium. Charlotte FC lost to Inter Miami back in July, 2-1.

CLTFC attempted to make several shots, but all were missed or blocked by Inter Miami CF.

The first half ended uneventfully with neither team putting a point on the board.

After a brief delay due to injury on the Inter Miami team, CLTFC’s Pep Biel wins a free kick in the defensive half. Karol Swiderski follows up with a shot from the box into the net with an assist from Brandt Bronico, finally putting a point on the board.

Charlotte’s lead was short-lived when Inter Miami CF’s Lionel Messi sent a left-footed shot into the bottom left corner.

Nine minutes were added to the clock as the teams worked to break the tie. As the match goes 13 minutes of overtime, the match ends in a tie.

Charlotte FC meets with Chicago Fire FC on October 2 at 7:30 p.m.
