(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Good evening and happy Sunday Funday! As the Carolinas continue to try to recover from the devastation of Helene, we have been treated to generally quiet weather across the region over the weekend with just a few showers. As we head into the new week, we are expecting a couple of showers and storms on Monday, but otherwise, it looks fairly quiet over the next week.

As for tonight and Monday, we are tracking mostly dry weather with an isolated shower possible overnight. Monday, mostly cloudy skies in the morning will give way to scattered showers and storms during the afternoon hours with highs in the low 80s.

After Monday though, the rest of the week looks fairly dry across the region. Temperatures for the rest of the week are expected to be around average along with partly cloudy skies. The tropics though are staying active with the newly formed Tropical Depression 12 forming in the Eastern Atlantic but is expected to stay out at sea. Closer to home we are watching the Northwest Caribbean again for potential development later in the week.

In the meantime, getting ready for a much-needed tranquil week of weather for the Carolinas! Have a great week!
