    Charlotte FC in playoffs with 4-3 win over Chicago Fire FC

    CHARLOTTE (CHARLOTTE SPORTS LIVE) — Charlotte FC is in the playoffs following a 4-3 win over Chicago Fire FC Wednesday night at Bank of America Stadium.

    Charlotte FC immediately dominated eight minutes into the match with a goal from Karol Swiderski. The teams battled it out as CLRC’s Liel Abada earns the first yellow card in the game.

    Chicago Fire follows up with a goal from Fabian Herbers, but the victory is short-lived because Charlotte’s own Junior Urso scores another goal, putting the team ahead by 1 again.

    Swiderski continued to put points on the board at the 45-minute mark earning another point for CLTFC and an extra time added to the clock.

    Chicago Fire’s Kellyn Acosta sends a right-footed shot into the goal with an assist from Federico Navarro, putting the score at 4 to 2.

    The added minutes worked in Chicago Fire’s favor as they were able to gain an extra point from Tom Barlow. Despite the effort, it was not enough to beat Charlotte FC. Match ends with a win for Charlotte, 4 to 3.

    CLTFC has continuously won against Chicago Fire FC, only having lost against the team in August of 2022.

    The team’s next match is set for October 5 with a rematch with CF Montreal.
