Thousands without power in the Carolinas following Hurricane Helene

CHARLOTTE ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — Crews have restored power to many in the Carolinas; however, thousands are still without power following Helene.

According to PowerOutage.us , 273,442 customers in North Carolina and 354,741 customers in South Carolina are still without power.

Ashe County

Burke County

• Duke Energy: 7,753
• Rutherford EMC: 6,261
• ElectriCities: 3,500

Caldwell County

• Duke Energy: 3,382
• Blue Ridge Energy: 2,522

Catawba County

• Duke Energy: 2,279

Cleveland County

• Duke Energy: 8,178
• Shelby Electric Department: 5,382
• ElectriCities: 5,411

Watauga County

• Blue Ridge Energy: 9,984
