    Two 18-year-olds charged with July murder in southwest Charlotte: CMPD

    CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – Two teens have been arrested for the July murder of a 21-year-old man, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

    Officials say Mia Patterson, 18, and Logan Lightner, 18, were arrested on Friday, October 4, by CMPD’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT).

    Both are charged with murder in connection with the death of 21-year-old Elijah Johnathon Wright.

    Officials say Wright was shot around 1:30 a.m. on Monday, July 22, in the 8900 block of Rachel Freeman Way. This is at an apartment complex in between Dixie River Raod and Shopton Road West.

    Wright died before he could be taken to a hospital. His family has been told of the October arrests.
