Temps remain warm headed into the weekend, cool-down in sight

(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Good evening and happy FriYay! It was another sunny, albeit hot, day across the Carolinas, with more on the way as we go through the weekend for the region. The streak of warm and humid weather will end on Tuesday after a front moves through as much cooler air moves in across the Carolinas. In the tropics, we are keeping a close eye on the Gulf of Mexico for some potential development early next week. If we do see tropical development, it will not impact the Carolinas.

As for tonight and your Saturday, a couple of showers are possible this evening, but it is looking increasingly likely we will stay dry across the Piedmont. Saturday looks sunny and warm with highs that will again push up into the mid-80s along with elevated humidity.

After another warm day on Sunday, we are watching big changes on the way as we head into next week as a front will be moving through the Carolinas early next week on Monday. A couple of showers are possible later Monday, but the big story will be the much cooler temperatures that will be moving in across the region. Highs on Tuesday will be in the low to mid-70s with lows down around 50. This is expected to continue through the rest of the week along with dry weather.

In the meantime, get ready for a beautiful weekend across the region! Have a great weekend!
