    CHARLOTTE ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — Charlotte Fire is sending a crew to Yancey County on Monday to assist with rescue efforts and the devastation from Hurricane Helene.

    “We are incredibly proud of the tireless work of our first crew, who faced unimaginable challenges with bravery and determination. Now, their fellow firefighters are stepping in to carry the mission forward- another powerful example of the selflessness that defines our team.”

    “To the men and women on the road, thank you for your service. We look forward to seeing your impact and continuing the mission of helping Yancey County through these challenging times as part of the ongoing Hurricane Helene recovery effort.”
