Skies are mostly clear with little to no fog as dew points have dropped significantly behind the cold front that has crossed the Carolinas. We’ll be mostly sunny and dry today as highs peak in the mid-70s which is much closer to what we typically see this time of year.

High pressure will be in control for much of the week as low to mid-70s finish off the week on Thursday & Friday. Overnight lows will dip into the low 50s and even upper 40s heading into Friday and the weekend.

A brief warming trend will get us to near 80 degrees on Sunday but upper 70s and sunny skies will likely take hold on Monday to kick off early next week.

All eyes this week will be on Hurricane Milton as the storm has intensified into a major hurricane on Monday. The latest track still aims for the west coast of Florida near Bradenton and Tampa. Threats will include life-threatening storm surges of 12 feet or more, damaging winds, torrential rain leading to flash floods, and isolated tornados and severe storms possible.

Milton will likely make landfall late Wednesday into Thursday as a major hurricane before exiting off the East Coast and tracking out into the Atlantic through the end of the week.

Today: Warm, Pleasant, and Partly Cloudy. High: 75.

Tonight: Partly Cloudy and Cool. Low: 50.
