    Fake sheriff ID, meth seized during Lenoir traffic stop: Sheriff

    CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — A traffic stop led to two meth arrests this week in Lenoir, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday.

    Harry Gardner, 45, of Lenoir, was pulled over on Monday with an expired Tennessee registration and for driving in an unsafe manner, deputies said.

    Fifteen grams of meth, a fraudulent Burke County Sheriff’s Office ID badge, and a fraudulent UNC Health Blue Ridge Identification Badge were found during a search of the vehicle and Gardner was arrested. He faces multiple drug-related charges and fraudulent ID possession.

    A second vehicle occupant, Dakota Burleson, 25, of Lenoir, was also arrested on meth-related charges. Gardner and Burleson are both being held on $50,000 secured bonds at the Caldwell County Detention Center.
