1 injured, road closures due to Wilkinson Blvd. wreck

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – One person has been hospitalized and traffic is backed up due to an early morning wreck Wednesday along Wilkinson Blvd. in west Charlotte.

The incident occurred near Wilkinson and Todd Road. Charlotte Airport said traffic delays were expected for visitors in the area due to Wilkinson being closed in both directions by I-485.

The cause of the wreck has not yet been released.

Medic said one patient had been transported from the scene with life-threatening injuries.
