Thursday starts off the second half of the work week with 50s and 40s across the Carolinas and mostly clear skies. Winds will pick up throughout the day as Hurricane Milton pushes off the east coast of Florida.

This morning we are continuing to see significant flooding, winds, and heavy rain for the northeast parts of the Sunshine State. The outer bands of Milton can bring some rain to our South Carolina coast near Savannah & Charleston.

High pressure will keep any significant impacts from Milton to our south with sunshine dominating throughout the afternoon. Winds will pick up out of the northeast between 10 to 15 miles per hour and gusts reach as fast as 24 miles per hour at times.

Look for highs to aim for the low 70s today with clear skies on tap for the rest of the work week. After peaking slightly below normal today, lows will plummet overnight bottoming out in the low to mid 40s!

Friday will finish off the work week with sunshine and upper 60s to low 70s as winds ease up heading into the weekend. We’ll see a warming trend through Saturday & Sunday as highs go from the mid-70s to the upper 70s.

Cooler temperatures will return with a vengeance as we head into Tuesday & Wednesday of next week with highs limited to the mid-60s and overnight lows dipping into the low 40s!

Today: Sunny & Breezy. High: 71.

Tonight: Mostly Clear and Chilly. Low: 43.
