CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – A water main break has prompted a high school closure in Cabarrus County, district officials announced Thursday morning.

Families and students at Northwest Cabarrus High School were informed of the closure after arriving at the school.

“Car riders are being dismissed now. Bus riders will be dismissed at approximately 9:00 A.M. following the completion of middle school bus routes. Any Northwest High student who is at school and needs to use the restroom will be allowed to use the facilities at Northwest Middle. CCS facilities staff will provide water and breakfast items to students who remain at Northwest High.”

District officials said Boger Elementary and Northwest Cabarrus Middle will continue to operate on a normal schedule.
