CHARLOTTE, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — While not surprising to anyone who attempted to purchase tickets to the star-studded Concert for Carolina, the show is now sold out.

There were only two tickets available Friday afternoon, according to LiveNation, but they did not last much longer. Whoever scooped them up had to make some sacrifices: Not only were they not next to one another, but they cost $1,600 and $2,000 – before fees.

The mostly country-act concert headlined by North Carolina natives James Taylor, Eric Church, and Luke Combs is being held Oct. 26 at Bank of America Stadium. It’s serving as a charity event to help those in Western NC following the devastation from Hurricane Helene last month.

The NC trio also will be joined by Keith Urban, Cheryl Crow, Billy Strings, and Bailey Zimmerman.

Tickets went on sale Thursday morning, and the overwhelming majority were quickly snatched up in a few hours. No official resale site is being used.

Not only is the main stadium bowl filled but there also are seats on the field. The circular stage will be at the 50-yard line – or midfield for Charlotte FC fans. Tepper Sports & Entertainment says the setup is “somewhat unique” to the venue; only Garth Brooks and Billy Joel have used the central stage and the alignment is planned for Metallica next May.

A total seat capacity was not available.

The relief concert is coming on the heels of another major country artist performing at the Bank. Morgan Wallen’s postponed visit is scheduled for Oct. 18 and 19. He was originally slated to visit the Queen City in July, but an illness forced him to move several shows.

The most expensive seats to see the “Last Night” artist are $350 for the pit, while the cheapest is $89 directly to the side of the stage. Zimmerman also will be on the BofA stage that weekend.

Combs was born in Huntersville and attended Appalachian State; Church is from Caldwell County and an App State grad; Taylor grew up in Chapel Hill, with one of his most prominent songs being “Carolina in my Mind.”

I hope all that money goes to the victims of Helene because $1,600 per ticket is insane! WTH
