    Gastonia Police officer saves dog that was shot in the leg

    GASTONIA, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Gastonia Police are looking for the person responsible for shooting a Pitbull puppy named Paco Wednesday morning.

    On October 9, around 11:33 a.m., police were called to W. Second Avenue in regards to a woman reporting that her dog had been shot on her front porch.

    Gastonia Police Officer Whisnant quickly took the dog into his patrol vehicle and rushed him over to the vet clinic.

    Now, Paco is at home recovering from his wound.

    Officials say no arrests have been made. Anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to call 704-866-6702.
