CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear visited Charlotte as part of a campaign event for Kamala Harris and hurricane relief efforts.

He visited a western N.C. recovery project with the main goal of highlighting the work being done by the White House to help with storm recovery.

“It’s about all of us, and never an ‘us’ versus a ‘them’. So let me just say, it’s hard after a natural disaster. And it hurts. And it’s hard to understand why, though we certainly see God in the response,” Governor Beshear said. “So even in the midst of what could be a wild last month of the election, let’s make sure we give those that have been harmed – regardless of what party they’re in, regardless of who they’re going to vote for – let’s give them our very best to get them back up on their feet and moving forward together.”

Beshear also wrote a check for $10,000 dollars that he donated to Habitat For Humanity.
