    Spartanburg Co. coach arrested at football game

    SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A coach for a Spartanburg County charter school was reportedly arrested Friday night during a football game.

    According to Inman Police Department, Torrion Cameron Stevenson, a member of the coaching staff at Mountain View Preparatory school, was arrested during Friday night’s game between MVP and Chapman High School.

    The police department said the arrest came after an incident involving Stevenson and a police officer at the game. Stevenson was charged with public disorderly conduct and assault and battery.

    Details about the incident between Stevenson and the officer have not been made available.

    7NEWS has reached out to Mountain View Prep for comment for this story. Principal Matt Talley said the following:

    “We are aware of the unfortunate incident that occurred during halftime at the Mountain View Preparatory at Chapman game last night. We are handling the situation according to our personnel policy, and will allow the legal system to run its process.”
