4 ‘armed and dangerous’ inmates escape in Chesterfield County: Police

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, S.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) – Four inmates who are considered ‘armed and dangerous’ have escaped from the Chesterfield County Detention Center, police said.

According to the Chesterfield Police Department, the inmates escaped Monday night, Oct. 14, and have been on the run for roughly 12 hours.

Authorities are searching for Deshawn Malik Fox who was being held for third-degree assault and battery, armed robbery, criminal conspiracy, and accessory before and after the fact.

Kyonne Marquise McLeod was in the detention center for general sessions bench warrants. Emanuel Rondon Planco was being held for possession of a stolen vehicle, and Anton Conway Bennett was in the detention center for possession of a stolen vehicle, police said.

According to the Society Hill Police Department in Darlington County, all four escaped inmates should be considered dangerous and were heading in an unknown direction of travel.

“Please be aware of your surroundings at all times,” authorities said. “Please keep your doors and windows locked. If you see anything suspicious, please call 911 immediately and answer all questions from the 911 center.”

“We are actively searching and working this case with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) and other agencies,” the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.
