ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — Over the weekend detectives seized more than $600,000 in fake goods, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.

On Saturday, October 12, detectives ran an undercover operation at Webb Road Flea Market. In total, $613,939 in counterfeit shoes, watches, purses, sunglasses and clothing were seized.

Officials say most of the counterfeits were given up without issue or criminal charges. Ten booths were selling the goods which copied brands like Nike, Coach, Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Rolex, Oakley, Adidas and Puma.

Nicholas Antwan Stevenson, 45, of Richburg, South Carolina was the only arrest. He is charged with resisting a public officer and misdemeanor drug possession.

According to authorities, Stevenson refused to turn over the fake goods and fought deputies while being arrested. No one was hurt in the struggle though.

Stevenson reportedly had 80 pairs of fake Nike shoes, fake Ralph Lauren clothing and counterfeit handbags claiming to be Gucci, Prada and YSL. He is accused of trying to sell almost $21,000 in fake goods.

He was released on a written promise for the first two charges but is now also facing charges for felony criminal use of a counterfeit trademark. Stevenson has an active warrant for his arrest.
