CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – Thursday morning brings what can be some of the coldest temperatures of the season so far! We’re under a Frost Advisory for Uptown and the Foothills while our Mountains are under a Freeze Warning this morning.

Winds have been light overnight which has helped with the drastic cool down overnight. Look for sunny skies to dominate this Thursday as highs aim for the low 60s and low 50s for the peak heating hours of the day. These below normal conditions will linger into Friday as winds stay light out of the north and overnight lows dip into the 30s yet again!

We’ll finish off the work week with a frigid morning and a warm afternoon. Look for highs to rebound into the upper 60s on Friday ahead of a warm up this weekend. Saturday will see the return of low 70s with sunshine and high pressure driving the forecast from today through the weekend.

We’ll finish off the weekend with mid-70s on Sunday ahead of even warmer temperatures taking hold next week. Our warm up continues through Wednesday with upper 70s on tap for the mid portions of next week.

Today: Sunny & Cool. High: 62.

Tonight: Mostly Clear and Cold. Low: 39.
