    Drugs, loaded weapon seized from Chester County home: Sheriff

    CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Around 10 grams of a substance believed to be methamphetamines were seized from a Chester County home Wednesday morning, officials say.

    Around 7 a.m. on October 16, deputies with the Chester County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence on Connor Road.

    While at the residence, the following items were found:

    • A loaded firearm
    • Approximately 10.1 grams of substance believed to be methamphetamines
    • 40 dosage units of 1mg lorazepam

    Quay Alexander Darby was also arrested. Officials say Darby was the subject of an ongoing investigation involving the illegal distribution of narcotics. Narcotics agents charged Darby with the following:

    • 2 counts of distribution of methamphetamine (2nd offense)
    • Trafficking methamphetamine
    • Distribution of lorazepam/ Schedule IV controlled substance (2nd offense)
    • Possession of a weapon during a violent crime
    • Sale or delivery of a pistol to, and possession by certain person unlawful; stolen pistol
