Juvenile hospitalized following shooting in east Charlotte: CMPD

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating an assault with a deadly weapon incident in east Charlotte.

Detectives were called shortly after 4:30 p.m., near the 8000 block of Trousdale Drive. Upon arrival, officers located a juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound. The juvenile was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Detectives are speaking to all parties involved and have concluded that they are not looking for any outstanding suspects.

CMPD has not released the age of the juvenile or details on what led up to the shooting.

This investigation remains active and ongoing.
