(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Good Sunday Morning! The forecast could not be any better to finish out the weekend. High pressure is well in control of the area and will be for the foreseeable future. Keeping the weather quiet and very nice across the Carolinas over the next 7 days.

A chilly start this morning, with temperatures in the 40s. We will rebound nicely this afternoon as high temperatures rise into the mid-70s under plenty of sunshine. Expecting mid to upper 60s for high temperatures today in the mountains.

Conditions will turn a little more milder to begin the week. After chilly starts, high temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 70s Monday through Wednesday. The high country will settle around the mid to upper 60s.

The weather pattern does turn more seasonable late this week and into next weekend. Looking at more low to mid-70s for high temperatures by Thursday. The mountain counties will settle into more of a low to mid-60s type of pattern closer to next weekend.

We are not expecting a drop of rain in the Carolinas over the next 7 days. High pressure will be the dominant force. Just looking at abundant sunshine!

While the tropics are active, there are no threats to the U.S.

Hurricane Oscar will continue to weaken over Guatemala. Hurricane Oscar is a very slow-moving hurricane, which is bringing impacts to the Turks and Caicos region. It will move towards northeastern Cuba on Monday, eventually recurving back out to sea by Wednesday and dissipating.
